About Josie
Josie Ryann was born and raised in the land of the Jersey Devil and the Squonk, where she grew up on a steady diet of campfire tales and dramatic readings of The Tailypo. Today, Josie balances two worlds: treating real animals as a veterinarian by day and crafting secret worlds of fairytale creatures by night. She lives in Upstate New York with her husband and draws unending inspiration (and exasperation) from her cats Phoebe and Grace. The first two books in her Fangs & Fables series are available now!
Fun facts!
Josie lived in Scotland for four years. The national animal of Scotland? The unicorn! (Unofficially: the Loch Ness Monster.)
Josie has been able to recite the first two stanzas of The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe since the eighth grade. When has this skill come in handy? Never.
Josie has been a dedicated member of the Black Cat Appreciation Society ever since her kitten Phoebe came into her life.
